Doctoral Education

I am currently continuing my Doctoral Education at the Department of Sociology. I will be studying on the impacts of climate change on the livelihoods, migration, urbanization, and climate change combatting mechanisms around a lake and wetland area.

Master's Degree

I completed my Master's Thesis at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration. The title of the M.Sc. thesis is An Analysis of Turkish Migration and Asylum Policies in the Framework of World Systems Theory: Labour Market Integration of the Syrians Under "Temporary Protection", and available when you click here.

In the thesis, I analyzed Turkish Migration and Asylum Policies as these public policies have become increasingly important as the Syrian Civil War and refugee movements hastened, and Turkey was required to host millions of asylum seekers in a short period of time. I looked for the implications of the World Systems Theory by Immanuel Wallerstein.
